Mrs. John Quarton Laid To Rest
Services for Mrs. Florence Adcock Quarton, widow of John F. Quarton, who died at St. Francis hospital Sunday morning after being a patient there for a week, were conducted this afternoon in the Carroll funeral home. Rev. C. S. Tritt, retired Methodist minister, officiated and interment was in Girard city cemetery.
Mrs. Quarton, 75 years old last Oct. 24, was born at Nilwood, a daughter of Henry and Martha Swift Adcock. She married John Quarton April 26, 1897. He died in Litchfield May 1, 1953.
Mrs. Quarton is survived by four children, Coy R. Quarton, and Wendell C. Quarton, both of Litchfield; Mrs. Thelma M. Cook, St. Louis, and Robert W. Quarton of Byron, Ill. A son, John, died in 1928. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
