Lake City, MI - Janet Lucille [Adcock] Grant of Lake City died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005 at Cadillac Mercy Hospital, Cadillac, MI. She was 66.

She was born in rural Virden, IL [Macoupin co.,] on Dec. 13, 1938 to Charles Bernard [Barney] Adcock and Jennie [Pierce] Adcock. She was a graduate of the class of 1956 of Northwestern High School, Palmyra, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Richard [Dick]; sons, James [Jamie] Waters of Jacksonville, IL, Kenney Waters of Franklin, IL, Jerel Grant of Lake City, MI and James Grant of Lake City, MI; daughters, Mrs. Danny [Lavonne] Mau of Springfield, IL, Mrs. Willy [Melanie] Vasser of Lake City, MI, Mrs. Shannon [Fran] Barr of Mt. Pleasant, MI; stepchildren, Rick [Julie] Grant, and Don [LeeAnn] Grant; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are brothers, Ronald [Peg] Adcock of Sherman, TX, Larry Adcock of Woodsville, New Hampshire, sisters, Mrs. Warren [Marilyn] Williams of Modesto, IL and Sharon Stewart of Waverly, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Marlin Adcock, brother-in-law, Darrell Stewart, daughter-in-law, Diane Waters and a son, Timmie Lee Waters.

Memorial Services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Young Funeral Home in Lake City, MI with Rev. Richard Bachman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
