Jerry L. Adcock, 49, of Virden died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2001, at his residence.

He was born February 21, 1952, in Macoupin County, a son of Howard and Lena Ersery Adcock. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Raymond Adcock; and a sister, Betty Adcock.

Mr. Adcock was employed at Auto Body as a painter.

Surviving are two sons Cheyenne Adcock and Chad Adcock, both of Girard; a daughter, Stephanie Adcock; four stepsons, David, Rudy, Ronnie and Justin; three grandchildren; a step-grandchild; his mother; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Edwin and Vicky Adcock of Virden, Larry Adcock of Girard and Garry Adcock of Nilwood; seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, Lola and Jack Braley and Mary and Clarence Malberry [sic], all of Carlinville, Alice Fae and Bruce Le Marr of Modesto, Carolyn and John Kaburick of Salem, Gladys Adcock of Girard, and Bertha Acuff and Linda Des Lauriers, both of Chouteau, Oklahoma; and a companion, Susan Reyes of Virden.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Calvert & Ferry Funeral Home in Girard with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating.

Burial was in Springfield Crematory.
