Lola D. Shipp, 91, of Carlinville, formerly of Nilwood, died at 3 a.m. Thursday at Sunshine Manor Nursing Home, Carlinville.

She was born Nov. 22, 1900, in South Otter Township, the daughter of Edmond Frank and Millie Ann Hays Adcock. She married Jesse Allen Shipp in 1919 in South Otter Township; he died in 1971. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Homer, Walter, Howard and Frank Adcock; two sisters, Bertha Wallis and Mae Kunz; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are two sons, Orville Theodore of Girard and Allison Bruce of Shipman; two daughters, Lola Eileen Hampsmier of Springfield and Gloria Maxine Frazier of West Plains, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Adcock of Lakeland, Fla.; and one sister, Gladys Casey of Sun City, Ariz.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Berry Funeral Home, Girard, with the Rev. Clifford Woodman officiating. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Union Chapel Cemetery, Girard.
