Dale D. Hays, 79, of Girard died at 9:52 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2000, at St. John's North in Springfield.
He married Gladys M. Grossner July 26, 1946, in Carlinville.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 11, at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard with burial in Girard Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Larry Hays of Palmyra and Richard Paul Hays of Thayer; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Linda) Bruce of Virden, Mrs. Dan (Beth) Smith of Girard and Mrs. Donald (Tami) Hubbell of New Braunfels, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Velma Hulcher of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice in Springfield.
