Earl Swift, 85, of Virden died at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at Carlinville Area hospital.
Services were at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, February 7, at Berry Funeral Home, Virden. Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery, west of Girard.
Surviving are his wife, Florence; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Lomelino of Virden and Mrs. Beatrice Taylor of Chula Vista, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Melba Riffey of Godfrey and Mrs. Doris Welch of Modesto; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lindeman and Mrs. Catherine Ulrich, both of Springfield; one brother, George of Springfield.
