William Taylor passed away at his home in Baylesstown, Wednesday morning, Oct. 28th at an advanced age being about 92 years old, after several days illness of grippe. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m., Friday at Floyd's undertaking parlors in Gillespie, conducted by Rev. Jackson, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Gillespie cemetery. He leaves
his widow,
two sons, one daughter, four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for William Taylor, 92, Civil War veteran, who died Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, at his home in Baylesstown after several weeks' attack of grippe, were held last Thursday at Floyd's undertaking establishment in Gillespie. Rev. Jackson officiated. Burial was made in the Gillespie cemetery.
The decedent is survived by
his wife,
two sons, one daughter, four sisters and one brother. He spent most of his life in Macoupin county with the exception of a few years spent in the Soldiers and Sailors Home at Quincy. He was a member of Company C, 32nd Infantry.
