Wade B. Wingo Dies Here Today

Wade B. Wingo, a veteran of World War I, died at Jefferson Memorial Hospital at 4:30 a. m. today.

Mr. Wingo resided at 807 Jordan. He and his family moved to Mt. Vernon only three weeks ago from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was employed as superintendent of Western Union, Cincinnati Division. He was a member of the A. F. & A. M., the Shrine and Rotary Club.

Mr. Wingo was born September 11, 1895 at Ina, the son of Thomas B. and Artemissa (Wyatt) Wingo. On August 30, 1925 he was married to Adele Tackett who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Wade, Jr., Gerald and Dale, at home, two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Packwood of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Madge Schneider of Tiffin, Ohio, two brothers, Gale Wingo of Miami, Fla., and Leamon L. Wingo of Springfield, Ill.

Mr. Wingo was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

City Offices to Close for Funeral

The offices of the mayor, city clerk and city treasurer will be closed tomorrow afternoon during the funeral of Wade B. Wingo.

Mr. Wingo, a brother of the assistant city treasurer, Mrs. Blanche Packwood, died yesterday. His funeral will be held at Myers Chapel Friday afternoon, starting at 1 o'clock.
