Ollie Palestine WINGO was born 20 Feb. 1880 at Ina, Illinois the daughter of B.A. and Nancy Lucinda WINGO, and died 31 May 1945 at her home north of Whittington, Illinois. Burial at Kirk Cemetery at Ina. On 18 November 1896 she married Rector SNEED. Her early married life was spent in Franklin County but in later years she lived in and around Ina. Thirty-five years ago she united with the Missionary Baptist Church of Gun Prairie. Whin this church was destroyed by fire, she moved her membership to Whittington Missionary Baptist Church. Ten children were born to Ollie and Rector, namely: Viana TIBBITS of Dallas, TX.; Dwight SNEED and Hazel CLINTON of Whittington; Maye RAINS of Benton; Nolan and Ray SNEED and Naomi SINCLAIR of Ina; Gale SNEED of Chicago Heights; Hattie ATTEBERRY of Fairfield, IL.; Sgt. Clarence R. SNEED, U.S. Army. Also sv/b 28 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 1 sister and 6 brothers: Alta KERR [sic] of Pulaski, IL.; Richard WINGO of West Frankfort; Hillary WINGO of Steel City, IL.; Elmer WINGO of Sesser; Oscar of Thompsonville; Aaron of Benton and Sherman of Pulaski, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Viana WILLIS and Minnie COFIELD.
